Conclusion: Crazy General is Crazy.

This is going to completely upset the power structure of the Basitins with two generals dead (presumably), one completely nuts, and the King sick.

Time to blame the Templars?

Hm, this is really the best situation they could have found them in. Instead of struggling against people who are feeling compelled to follow orders no matter what information they learn, they're talking to the person who's actually making those orders.

I could see Alabaster attacking the king if he's too far gone--and keep in mind she's been sick. So, here's hoping that she could fend anything like that off. I'm sure she could, Alabaster's old and crazy.

It's good to see that she can listen to reason. Very likely they'll still need to stand trial for, you know, breaking and entering the Basitin palace...but, the king seems reasonable.

*still holding out hope for Alaric*

While it does seem that King Adelaide is going to take Eric's word I don't think the group is going to get off scot-free. Two Generals are dead and while Keith was acting in self-defense by the end, Alaric is still dead and he is an outsider. And an intruder as she puts it.

...Ah whatever.
I know Alaric is a fan favourite (why, I'll never know. He bugged the hell out of me. There's being playful then there's being annoying.) but it's way too cliche. Almost Disney. Killing off characters is a hard thing to do and I admire Tom for it.

I don't see him coming back. The Basitin like their absurd rules kept and their cliffs high.
