Either way, why is there a Skeleton on Eric's Boat?!
I mean, I shouldn't look into something subtly backroundish like this, but if he like...let's his Keidran die in the bottom of his boat...I've got a completely different outlook on him now...

Anyway, I guess nothing surprising here: we knew the explosions screwed up magic on the island (in fact, I might even recall someone calling out that the control spells would be broken in the discussion for that comic), and we also already knew that those big Basitin ears really are great for listening

The question now is what do the Basitin plan to do with them? What were they looking for on the ship?

I'm guessing the Basitins will just detain Mike and Evals as well. It's not far-fetched to believe the sudden appearance of outsiders could have something to do with the mysterious disappearance and death of their hierarchy.

I'm reminded of Star Wars and the scene where Luke, Han, Obi-Wan and the droids under the floor boards in the Millennium Falcon. I'm also reminded of how Evals yearns for freedom and how the both of them aren't very bright. You'd think they'd know to stay quiet when a Basitin soldier is only inches away.

Probably a good thing Mike is male again.
Evals might have convinced him/her to flash to get past the Basitans, and that would only have made matters worse.
After all, they didn't know that Basitans can't ordinarily use magic, so it's safe to assume they know nothing of their laws too.
