Wouldn't an old mine mean that someone should have found those mana crystals?

As ever good update, loving the detailed backgrounds. (heh has to travel through the mines, must not insert Lord of the Rings referece.)

It would explain where the Basitan's got the crystals they were using.

Perhaps the Basitin once experimented on crystals to try to understand why they could not use magic? It would explain the mine.

The crystals for the tower might have been mined long ago or might have been imported by the humans.

"Sort of" nothing. If I had a new life that I liked and friends that I loved, then why should I be concerned about the shadows of a past life that I cannot remember? Especially when who I was is at odds with who I am now?

At this point in time, here is the hard fact: Nora was not friends with Trace, just with someone who looked like him. And frankly, if that someone who looked like him would pose a very real, very direct threat to the life he has now, then what reason would Trace have to try and emulate him?

Because that shadow of the past life saved Trace's life... twice. One of those times required her to endanger her own life.
And more importantly, Nora turned Mike into a girl.
