Comic for Thursday, Oct. 21
Dibs! I'll get the picture...
Hmm...No Magic for Natani, so no teleporting out of there. Looks like they need to leave the old fashioned way; through the other guys.

Wooo, go Keith!
I've gotta say, I love Keith's look of desperation in the third panel.

I just love Natani in that last panel.
'...is this still part of the trial?'
Gold.
And Keith is right, they're acting like the law is some holy, divine order that has to be followed to the letter. You'd think the fact that they saved the Basitan race from being reduced to mindless slaves would swing things in their favour.

FINALLY! Some good'ol d broadsword diplomacy.
Keith may only have the use of one arm, but I'm willing to bet that he's more then capable of at least taking ONE guard down.

This. Will not end well. Unless Keith is given time to explain to Natani what the heck is going on before the guards have a chance to fight back. But even then an injured Basitin and a skilled Keidran assassin (without no magic) is probably no match for a couple of Basitin Guards.

Huh, would you look at that? I guess even Keith can only be pushed so far before he snaps.

I Absolutely LOVE how clueless Natani is in this page lol. Absolute awesome.
With that aside, I've got to say GO KEITH WOO!
Bravo, my friend. Stick up for what's right.
Now I wanna see an epic battle for good, and Keith kicking [censored] with one crippled arm

Alabaster Jr. says that they are 'not obliged' to give trials to outsiders. I guess he feels strongly enough about his father's death that it may be clouding his judgement, despite the fact that Alabaster Sr. was raving mad when the tower went boom. Or maybe he wants to see Keith suffer some more. He is pretty much (indirectly) responsible for the loss of the whole Basitan High Command, after all.

Desperate situations call upon desperate emotions from a man. Keith may have had trouble in a civilized fight on a bridge, but now he isn't fighting for himself. He's fighting for the safety and well being of his friends.unsteddyPhoenix wrote:i dunno....he struggled to beat that one guard with full use of him limbs...
Are you implying that the story should induce its resident Deus Ex Machina? Not only is that considered bad story telling as well as against the nature of the character, but it's already been established that that particular character is going to be out of commission for a while. The cast is going to have to pull up their pants and do this on their own.unsteddyPhoenix wrote:they need a miracle...from the sky...through the roof maybe....shaped like a dragon?

Also on a side note...Anyone catch the Judge Dredd reference when you scroll your mouse over the comic? : P

Re: Comic for Thursday, Oct. 21
which...is what..makes it SO UNEXPECTED!
i was just joking, but I really can't see a way out of this (not counting super magic powerup for keith which he got from defending his loved one)
i would really like to know alabasters jr's past...its very "bastian" of him to want revenge, he may be doing this on purpose just to hurt keith

Re: Comic for Thursday, Oct. 21
You mean this one? Neat little nod, if you ask me, although fortunately without the bad overacting. That's actually worthwhile to point out, too, because "by the book" or not, there are definite parallels between Basitins and the world of 2000 A.D., particularly Mega City One where the Judges are, indeed, the law. Fortunately, I don't believe that to be quite the case here.Arroyo wrote:Also on a side note...Anyone catch the Judge Dredd reference when you scroll your mouse over the comic? : P
In any case, it's far more likely that Alaric's practical joke is what resolves the situation, whatever it is. I hope it involves a crane.
