That's been discussed before. King is a title, like General or Colonel. They don't have queens, only kings, whether they be male or female.

Anyway, so evidently both the people who said it was Lynn and Adelaide were correct. I must say, Adelaide looks awesome right now. Actually, scratch that, she always looks awesome. Anyway, TIME TO REVEAL ALARIC'S PRANK!

As avwolf said before, to the Basitins, "King" is a title, not a descriptor. Just as the titles "Lieutenant" and "General" are gender-neutral, so is the title "King" with the Basitins.

I knew it. I just knew it. I knew the king wasn't dead. Screw all you people that claimed she was dead because of what it showed on the cover, Tom is a tease like that.
This also brings a little bit more hope to Laura.
....and the cover may imply that the King will be dead before the end of this arc.
