So wait, the King is blackmailing Natani for cultural information? Well, OK, cultural information and Natani's backstory, but it still seems kind of odd. Though it does give me the idea for a quote that'll probably become rather common in the months to come.

Agreed. Those to panels, I don't think we've ever seen those expressions on her. Definitely liked she chucked in panel 5. Somehow very cute to me.

So, wait... The King of the Basitin is just going to ignore an error in their official records and refrain from correcting it? You know, the higher up the chain of command we go, the more the Basitin leaders seem prone to bend, or right down ignore, the rules and laws of their society, and with all the less consern too. As stated before me, Natani's expressions in panels one and seven really caught my eye. Seven in particular. I find myself liking King Addy more and more. "Of course!" The perfect response :p.

There are several reasons why one would try to get cultural informations.
One would be trying to get to know others better, another reason would be trying to get to know their weaknesses before the secret invasion!

Joke aside, it fits into what Alaric started and the king seems to support, namely reducing both their isolationism and their rigid following the rules to the word in favor of getting to know the neighbours and following the intent of the rules (or something like that).
At least that's the feeling it gives me.

Of course the king counts! Just because they call her King does not mean they do not recognize her femanine attributes. "King" is just a rough translation of their actual word for the position.
