Though reading TwoKinds, I've seen several characters show magical skills and such ( :trace:, :natani:, :raine:, Emphermal, etc.), but I'm still not quite sure how it works. I know part of it involves the use of magic crystals, but I'm sill not sure how it works; can anybody explain for me?

As near as we can tell, most magic (the demi-divine powers of the Masks, like Euphemural, not withstanding), is pretty straightforward: Mana is drawn into the caster's body, where it can be shaped by their will and its energy exerted on the world as magic. The comic hasn't gone into how the will shapes the spell, though. It's also evident that the source of the mana can vary, as the Templar can draw it directly from their environment, but Keidran must rely on mana crystals.

I believe Tom explained that the real difference between a Human mage and a Keidran one was education. Keidran don't have academies or guilds dedicated to the practice and study of magic like Humans do and so rely on external sources (mana crystals) to augment their spell casting abilities. There are exceptions of course.

Would one be able to directly transfer magical power into an objectm, like enchanting a weapon? Also, can one transfer their energy into a jewel and use it later as a sort of projectile (ex. stock up fire magic into a jewel over a period of time, then later throw at it a target and ignite it, causing a massive explosion)?

As far as I know, there is nothing in the comic to prove or disprove that idea yet.

Also, I too have a question related to magic that could fit here.
When the Templar were giving Basitin is the ability to use magic, how were they doing it? I looked through that section again and all I got was that they needed to use Mana Crystals just like the Keidran. But it seems like they weren’t able to use it at all before. What did the Templar have to do to them in order to change this?

The Towers seem to have some sort of authorisation system as to who gets to use it, such as Ephemural's use of one Tower to make Trace go ballistic at a Templar slave trader [and in the process put friends in danger,] where the Templar operators in the Tower seem disturbed that someone who shouldn't be able to drain the Tower is doing so.

The point being, maybe Basitin can use magic if its supplied by a Tower, but they never had one before. Alaric had authorisation, so he was able to use it. Vera presumable also took her mana from a Tower in whatever city she was in when she was learning how to use magic.

Of course, this is all dubious speculation, since the Tower Cores are mana crystals anyway. Its just that the user doesn't have to be in direct contact with the crystal to use it.

I think you can store mana in mana crystals like a battery but I don't think it would work for any old gem.

I suspect most of the people in the Twokinds verse would just say 'Why bother?' and start going all Tim The Enchanter on you with the explosions and the fire and the killer rabbits of Caerbannog.

Trace was able to create a 3 head magic dragon and then a physically real dragon although through black magic. I think some might be able to create weapons of magic. Most would probably need something to focus on like a stick since its harder to create things out of mid air.

If Trace is able to create such a powerful monstrosity then I see no reason why he couldn't do the same with a simple blade, though I fail to see any need, as RedDwarf pointed out an explosion is simpler and far more practical.

Trace probably wouldnt have a problem but would other people? Trace was the grand Templar for a reason, no one was a match for him. And i dont understand your tiny words...

They were mostly directed at DestinedFateX.

It wasn't quite a summoned weapon, but we have seen enchanted weapons before... When Natani was shooting that arrow at the Basitin tower, it was all blue and glowy. It definitely looked like it was being actively enchanted, most likely because it would need some sort of mana charge to actually get through to the crystal. As for creating weapons, we've seen that it's difficult to summon water, so I would imagine that metal wouldn't be much easier.

As for charging up regular old gems, we've seen nothing to deny that it's possible, and I would imagine that if one can enchant an arrow, doing the same to a stone wouldn't be much different. Whether they can hold magic the same way specific mana crystals do though is hard to say. As we've seen, it is possible to recharge used up crystals that don't have any magic left, but the results aren't so good.

Also,
Steel is my body and fire is my blood.
