The fact that Mike could have long ago, but didn't, pull off his shackles just reinforces the idea that he just can't cope with freedom.
If you lived a life of servitude and knew nothing else, wouldn't the idea of being free just be terrifying? Being told to leave everything he knows, where he's relatively safe and well-looked after, and being pushed out into a world that, for his kind, is far from friendly? I wouldn't be surprised if he asked Eric to let him stay...

I got a chuckle since this reminded me of a scene from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? She has a key and she'll use it by god!

I have a feeling we'll see a lot more of Mike because of this
He looks like he's had a bit of character development behind him (explaining his past to the other slave)

You mean to tell me that all those times we saw Mike without his Wrist Irons were not mistakes?! We were right about them being able to just slip off this whole time and he just keeps putting them back on?!

Anyone else getting the feeling that Tom is lightly trolling us?

Flora is so cute on the last three panels :)

By the way Mike is sweating. Looks like he is nervous.

I def think this is a bit a lighthearted jab what with the schacles being able to fall off, what's important is that they are removed...I guess.

Don't know why, probably the expression combined with her tone, but I'm getting a strong Midna vibe from Flora in panel 5. Anyone else?

Its nice to see a bit of comic relief after these past few darker pages: guess Tom has a good sense of how to balance things out.
I really couldn't help but LOL. (especially :flora: 's expressions)

Flora unlocking shackles for the heck of it :) If I were Flora I would probably do the same thing, can't leave a job unfinished

Meanwhile?! guess some of us (if not most) were wrong about it being nighttime in the last page, explains a lot though.

No, not at any time only when it was funny.

Oh Mike. Ruining Flora's moment of feeling useful. :P

No! Tom, no! Stay with Keith! Two pages does not make me happy! :x

I can sort of see it. It's that general "wtf ever loser" kind of attitude, really, that Midna carries about her.

Way to anticlimax, Mike! :P

BTW, those must be some fine lock mechanisms to be integrated into the thickness of the shackles. That would be a weak point for them to break.
