I imagined a closure like this, the only difference is, when Laura fading away, Keith fall in their knees and start to cry, and Natani is behind him, putting her hand/paw on his shoulder to comfort him

Well it seems all things are getting settled.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if she's really gone or simply faded herself.

Darn these ghost or illusion physics. You can't take anything for granted about them. But at least Keith got over a huge hurtle of losing her. Maybe not over all of it, but over a big hump. You never truly get over a close loss of friends and family members.

Was anyone else besides me hoping for a joke comic where after saying their goodbyes Laura starts to fade away and then stops looking all confused/worried and then says, “Oh dear. I've forgotten how to fade away!”.

Reminded again by that last panel how tiny Keith is next to Natani. While I'm kinda sad to see Laura gone, I'm very curious to see what will happen next.
