A rudimentary PHP webcomic publishing platform

#1 Post by amenon »

I was working through some tech I was proposing for the site when I suddenly realized that what I had kinda amounts to a publishing platform if you squint at it in the right light. Thus, with nothing greater to recommend it than the fact that it accidentally exists, I present to you the ame-pub (eh, whatever) webcomic publishing platform.

It's largely based on aj's tech from the site, but you shouldn't hold that against him.

Main features:
- Automated posting of new pages
- Archive of past pages, and an archive index
- RSS (ATOM, if we're being truthful) feed

It comes with some very, very rudimentary scaffolding to demonstrate how to integrate it. Here's how it looks like loaded up with my local high-fidelity, totally authentic Twokinds mirror.

If you might have a use for something like this, well, do your market research. But if through some mysterious set of circumstances this is an exact fit for your requirements, well, review your requirements. And if you can't be dissuaded from trying it out, well, it's actually pretty okay.
