It's not the word, it's the implication of using it. I have to say, I never thought of any of the characters in that way.

If it's a one time only exception, why did Neutral mention allowing the race to exist (again)? It takes more than one to make a race, and they have to be able to reproduce, otherwise they would merely be individual hybrids (like mules are sterile horse/donkey hybrids, not a self-sustaining species).BaronVictor wrote:Though one interesting thing that this line of thought leads me on is, now that we know inter-species breeding is possible, at least in Trace and Flora's case, who knows what flood-gates could be opened. If Kat's heart is crushed now, what about if Eric accidentally impregnates one of his slaves? I doubt that this would happen, considering the fact that I believe that the Exception made by Neutral (I believe, I don't quite remember which god made that exception), was a one time occurrence, but there's still the possibility.

Perhaps she could be talking about both. Like Eddard Stark.AmigaDragon wrote:She was obviously talking about a social or political storm, not meteorology.ShekiKitten wrote:There is a storm coming. The Kind said so.

Hopefully Tom will tickle the right rabbit foot next time.Gradivus wrote:"Waah!"
I thought of another reason Eric might have done that. Hopping what he said would make Kathrin angry and never want to see him again, she would have been motivated to get out of there and into the world. This plan does have some flaws in it (like if she can’t make it in out there, she won’t have anything to fall back on), but he may not have thought of that.BadFoMo wrote:There probably is, but perhaps he couldn’t think of a better way to do it.unsteddyPhoenix wrote:Mmmmmaybe. But Shirley there must be a less horribly brutal way of doing it then sister-zoning her like that.BadFoMo wrote:...am I the only one that thinks that Eric may not oblivious to Kathrin’s love for him and he said that for her own good? Think about it, he might be thinking that she wants to stay with him, but he knows that relationships like that never work out and she should find a more suitable mate.
